Stephanie Bivin, LCPC

Stephanie started working in the hospital setting in 2013 after graduating from National Louis University with her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. She has worked in multiple aspects at the hospital level such as inpatient, intake, and residential. In 2019, she moved into private practice and has seen clients in person and virtually.

Her previous experience is in persons with disabilities but her current training and areas of focus are people who are dealing with transitions in life, stress, burnout, anxiety, grief, and depression. She has a very goal-oriented approach to helping clients not only discover what they want but also helping them figure out how to achieve it. She works a lot with women and specializes in women’s issues including infertility, parenting, and adoption/fostering. She has specific training in grief, life coaching, and integrative medicine and uses a very person-centered approach to help clients move through their emotions and heal. She uses a variety of approaches from different therapies such as solution-focused grief therapy, re-decision therapy, and integrative medicine. Currently she is seeing individual clients over the age of 12 years.

A note from the therapist…
I started my college career as pre-vet/zoology, but once I experienced burnout and mental fatigue myself, I started looking into other career options. Through this life change, I realized I wanted to help others who were struggling with the feelings of being stuck or trapped. Being overwhelmed and exhausted and feeling like nothing you can do will change anything can lead to frustration and hopelessness. I use a whole-body wellness approach to help you through your struggles and achieve your goals. I look forward to working with you and helping you on your own personal journey.
